Welcome to my profile!
My therapeutic approach integrates psychotherapy, counselling, and somatic awareness, recognising the deep connection between mind, body, and relationships. I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore emotional and relational difficulties at their own pace. Drawing on Transactional Analysis and body-based practices, I support clients in gaining insight into unconscious patterns, increasing self-awareness, and working towards meaningful and lasting change.
My therapeutic work is based on the understanding that our thoughts, emotions, relationships, and bodies are deeply connected. Many people come to therapy knowing that something feels difficult or out of balance, but without a clear understanding of why. My approach offers a gentle and supportive way to explore both conscious experiences and those that may be held beneath awareness, helping you make sense of what is happening and move toward meaningful change.
A key part of my psychotherapy practice is informed by the Kestenberg Movement Profile (KMP), a developmental psychology approach that focuses on movement and bodily patterns. This means I pay attention to how the body communicates through posture, breathing, tension, or soothing gestures. When appropriate, I may gently bring awareness to these patterns, as they can offer valuable insight into emotions or experiences that have not yet found words. This can be particularly helpful for people who feel stuck or overwhelmed without knowing the source of their difficulties.
Alongside this somatic awareness, I draw from Transactional Analysis (TA), a practical and accessible psychological model that helps us understand how we relate to ourselves and others. TA offers clear language for exploring communication patterns, relationship difficulties, and beliefs about ourselves that may have developed earlier in life. By increasing awareness of these patterns, therapy can become a space where you feel empowered to make choices that better support your wellbeing and relationships.
My counselling work is grounded in a person-centred approach. I believe therapy is most effective when it takes place in a space where you feel safe, accepted and respected. I aim to offer this through attentive listening, empathy, and a non-judgmental attitude. You are invited to bring whatever feels important, at your own pace, without pressure to explain or justify your experiences. Within this supportive environment, many people find it easier to open up, reflect, and begin to understand their difficulties more clearly.
Somatic practice also plays an important role in my work. My background in movement and dance has shaped my understanding of how emotions and experiences are held in the body. Practices such as Authentic Movement and Body-Mind Centering inform a mindful and respectful approach to body awareness. These methods allow space for what is held in the body to be noticed, explored, and integrated into conscious awareness.
When appropriate and always with clear consent, somatic approaches may support the exploration of early or deeply held experiences, including trauma. This work can also be helpful for people recovering from injury, surgery, or living with long-term physical conditions such as arthritis. All therapeutic work is collaborative and led at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you, with the aim of supporting greater understanding, connection, and wellbeing.

Online therapy
I offer psychotherapy and counselling online via secure video call, allowing you to access therapy from the comfort and privacy of your own space. Online sessions can be just as effective as in-person work and may feel more accessible if travelling, health needs, or daily commitments make face-to-face sessions difficult.
My approach recognises the close connection between mind, body, and relationships. Even online, I pay careful attention to what is being communicated not only through words, but also through posture, breathing, pace, and moments of stillness. Drawing from the Kestenberg Movement Profile (KMP), I may gently invite awareness to bodily sensations or movement patterns that arise during our sessions. This can support insight into emotional experiences that may feel hard to articulate, particularly when difficulties are present but their origins feel unclear.
Alongside this somatic awareness, I use Transactional Analysis (TA), a clear and practical model for understanding relationships, communication, and long-standing beliefs about ourselves. TA works well online, offering shared language and tools to explore patterns that may have developed in earlier relationships and continue to influence present-day experiences. As awareness grows, we can work together towards the changes you wish to make.
My counselling work is grounded in a person-centred approach. I aim to create a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental therapeutic space where you feel listened to and respected. Online sessions move at your pace, with space to reflect, explore, and make sense of what has brought you to therapy.
Somatic practices such as gentle body awareness or reflection may be included when appropriate and always with your consent. These practices are adapted carefully for online work and can support emotional regulation, self-connection, and wellbeing. All online therapy is collaborative, flexible, and shaped around what feels safe and supportive for you.
