Introduction

Anxiety can be exhausting and frigtening - but it is also very treatable 


As a psychotherapist, I help people understand their anxiety rather than fight it. Together, we work to reduce its intensity and restore a sense of calm, confidence, and control.


Here are five  approaches I often use in therapy:

1. Awareness
Anxiety is often fuelled by unconscious thoughts and imagined worst-case scenarios. By becoming aware of our inner dialogue, we can begin to understand the fears beneath the anxiety and loosen its grip.

2. Challenging anxious thoughts
Much anxiety comes from how we interpret situations rather than the situations themselves. By gently questioning fearful thinking, we can develop a more balanced and reassuring perspective.

3. Talking it through
Anxiety grows in isolation. Being listened to—without judgement or pressure to “fix” things—can be deeply relieving and healing.

4. Taking small, supportive steps
Avoidance keeps anxiety alive. Carefully facing what feels difficult, at your own pace, helps build confidence and a sense of control.

5. Resolving Underlying Trauma   
Often anxiety and fear is trigguered by past painful experiences , using cutting edge trauma approached like Internal family Syatem IFS, to powerful resolve these issues.

 

These approaches can be used individually or together, depending on what feels right for you. Therapy offers a safe space to explore your anxiety and discover ways to feel more grounded and at ease.

Online therapy

I offer online therapy sessions via Zoom or Whatapps , so we can meet face-to-face from wherever you feel most comfortable. All you need is a private space and a stable internet connection. Sessions are confidential and follow the same care and professional standards as in-person therapy. Online therapy can be a convenient and supportive option if you prefer meeting from home, travel often, or live at a distance.
