Introduction

Fear and anxiety can take over your world before you even realise it. What starts as a few worries can grow into something that shapes your choices, limits your confidence, and leaves you feeling stuck. You might be exhausted from overthinking, avoiding situations, or constantly feeling on edge.

Therapy can be a turning point. It offers a calm, supportive space where you can begin to understand what’s happening beneath the surface and, more importantly, learn practical ways to change it.

 

I’m a fully accredited psychotherapist with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) and EMDR Europe. I offer both Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and EMDR therapy, working online and face to face in Perth & Kinross, Scotland.

Together, we’ll make sense of your experiences and develop a plan that feels manageable and in tune with your goals. I often integrate CBT and EMDR, drawing on the strengths of both approaches to help you overcome anxiety, phobias, and fear-based difficulties. 

 

 

Online therapy

I've worked extensively online since 2015 and find it to be just as effective as face to face sessions. I tend to use Zoom, Teams or a specialist EMDR platform called Bi-lateral base for sessions.

My main focus is helping you uncover the root causes of what’s happening now, not just managing the symptoms, but understanding where they began. Once we’ve identified these underlying experiences, I'll use evidence-based techniques to help you to process them in a way that feels safe and more empowering.

These roots often lie in past experiences such as bullying, friendship or relationship difficulties, challenges at home while growing up, or experiences of abuse or neglect. Whatever form they take, we work gently and at your pace, helping you make sense of what happened and reduce the emotional weight it may still carry.

The goal isn’t to revisit the past for its own sake, but to free you from the patterns it may be keeping you stuck in, so you can move forward with greater confidence and ease.
