Anna | Chartered Psychologist specialising in Psychotherapy

Online Psychologist Hull

Welcome! I’m Anna, although our office is located in London, I work online from Hull.

Since 2011, I have dedicated my practice to helping individuals confront their fears, phobias, and anxieties, guiding them toward a more peaceful and confident life. In our sessions, you'll find a safe and supportive space to openly explore those overwhelming feelings and uncertainties that can hold you back. If anxiety or traumatic memories are impacting your well-being, I am here to help you approach these challenges with compassion and understanding, empowering you to face your fears with courage.

Together, we can work on areas like trauma, anxiety, and depression, while also strengthening your resilience to life's stressors. My aim is to help you discover your inner strengths and make meaningful, lasting changes that foster a sense of control and calm.

I will provide practical tools to help you manage stress, reduce fears, and improve your overall well-being. Using a range of therapeutic techniques tailored specifically to your needs, I ensure our work is both effective and empowering.

If you're ready to take a positive step toward overcoming your fears and achieving a more fulfilling, anxiety-free life, don’t hesitate to reach out via the send a message - button. Let’s begin this journey toward healing and confidence together.

Online therapy

Online therapy can be a great resource in helping you navigate fears, phobias, and anxiety, supporting your journey toward emotional healing and personal growth. It offers the comfort and convenience of accessing support from your own space, making it easier to incorporate therapy into your busy life while facing overwhelming emotions.

Being in a familiar environment can help you feel more at ease, allowing for open and honest conversations about your deepest worries and fears. This sense of privacy encourages discussing sensitive topics without hesitation. Uur sessions are confidential, just like in-person therapy—except in cases involving harm to yourself or others, or legal concerns.

Using secure platforms like Zoom, we’ll engage in private, meaningful video sessions designed to foster focus and trust, helping us connect deeply and work effectively on your fears and anxieties. While video calls are our main format, they enable us to build rapport, explore your concerns, and develop strategies for overcoming fears.

Additionally, online therapy provides access to helpful resources such as worksheets and guided exercises that can reinforce your progress and deepen your understanding of your emotional experiences.

If you're ready to take this important step toward reducing your fears and finding greater peace, I would be honored to support you through the accessibility and flexibility of online therapy.

Qualifications and registrations

With a strong educational background in psychology and health sciences, I hold Bachelor's degrees in Health Sciences and Social Services, with a focus on psychological counseling. This solid foundation enables me to provide personalized therapeutic support tailored to your specific fears and emotional struggles.

In addition, I’ve completed MA Certificates in Gestalt Therapy, which help me foster meaningful connections and enhance self-awareness during our sessions—key elements in understanding and addressing anxiety and phobias. My Master’s degree in Research Psychology ensures that my approach is informed by the latest evidence, making our work both current and effective.

With over 5,000 hours of hands-on therapeutic experience, I’ve honed my skills in working with individuals and couples facing fears, anxieties, and trauma. My MSc in Rehabilitation Psychology equips me to address a wide range of psychological and social issues you may encounter, while my Postgraduate Certificate in Health Sciences deepens my understanding of the intricate relationship between health and mental wellbeing.

As a Fellow of the National Council of Integrative Psychotherapists (FNCIP), I uphold high professional and ethical standards. My goal is to deliver compassionate, evidence-based therapy that supports you both in your journey to overcome fears and build a stronger, more resilient relationship.

I am also registered at the British Psychological Society as a Chartered Psychologist specialising in psychotherapy, which means I have fulfilled rigorous professional standards to provide you with trusted, high-quality support. This qualification, combined with my extensive education and experience, allows me to offer expert guidance tailored to addressing fears, anxieties, and relationship challenges.

Specialisations and Expertises

I am an integrative psychotherapist with expertise in treating anxiety, phobias, trauma, relationship challenges, and emotional regulation. I tailor my approach using evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, ACT, and Narrative Therapy. I also incorporate motivational interviewing and Socratic enquiry to promote self-awareness and motivation for change.

Typically, clients may see benefits within 3 to 10 sessions, though some may require longer-term support depending on their needs. Each session is personalised, focusing on practical strategies and insights to help manage fears and emotional difficulties, fostering resilience and growth throughout the process.

Most common issues I support people with:

  • Effective Communication: Openly expressing your fears, worries, and anxieties, whilst actively listening to your partner’s concerns, builds understanding. Clear communication helps both of you navigate emotional challenges with compassion.

  • Understanding Attachment and Anxiety Patterns: Recognising how attachment styles influence your fears and reactions helps you better manage anxiety. Developing awareness fosters healthier attachment behaviours and emotional regulation.

  • Resolving Anxious Conflicts: Unaddressed fears and misunderstandings can escalate into resentment or emotional withdrawal. Learning constructive ways to communicate your anxieties encourages solutions and reduces relational stress.

  • Navigating Fear of Separation or Loss: When fears of abandonment or separation arise, open dialogue can help manage these feelings. Supportive guidance in processing these fears facilitates emotional resilience.

  • Support Through Life Transitions: Major changes can heighten anxiety and uncertainty. Maintaining open lines of communication and offering reassurance helps keep your connection strong amidst change.
