Maisie | Psychotherapist
Introduction
Hi, I'm Maisie. You don’t need to have the right words or a perfect version of yourself to begin therapy. Just being here is enough. I offer a space where you can show up as you are – even if that feels messy, lost, or unsure.
I work with people navigating anxiety, over-thinking, fears, phobias, low mood, self-worth, grief, trauma, relationship struggles, or the sense of feeling stuck and disconnected. Whatever you're carrying, we’ll explore it gently, together – at your pace, and without judgement.
My approach is integrative and person-centred. REBT and CBT give us a way to understand how your beliefs shape your emotions and actions, but therapy isn’t just about tools – it’s also about connection, safety, and feeling seen. I bring in elements of EMDR, compassion-focused therapy, values and identity work, boundary support, and classic counselling skills, tailored to what you need most 🌼.
My style is warm, thoughtful, and honest. I’ll always meet you with care – and sometimes a gentle challenge when it feels right. Therapy doesn’t have to feel clinical. It can be grounding, human, and a space to come back home to yourself.

Specialisations and Expertises
I specialise in Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT), an evidence-based approach that helps you explore and gently challenge the beliefs behind difficult emotions like anxiety, fear, and overwhelm. I blend REBT with counselling skills to offer a space that’s both supportive and change-focused – we move at your pace, depending on what you need.
I most often support clients with:
-
Anxiety, persistent worry, and emotional overwhelm
-
Fears and phobias that feel like they’re getting in the way of life
-
Low self-esteem, harsh self-criticism, and overthinking
-
People-pleasing, perfectionism, and struggling to say “no”
-
Identity issues, self-doubt, and fear of judgement
-
Burnout, emotional exhaustion, and the pressure to always be “okay”
Whether it’s social anxiety, a specific phobia, or that constant feeling of dread that you just can’t shake, we’ll work together to unpack what’s going on underneath. Clients usually start to notice meaningful shifts within 15–20 sessions, but therapy is completely flexible – some people want practical tools and strategies, others just need a calm space to talk things through and feel less alone.
Of course, I can also support you with things like grief, relationship difficulties, or past emotional trauma. If you’re unsure whether I’m the right fit, feel free to reach out – I’m always happy to chat things through.
Most common issues I support people with:
