Dionne | Anxiety Counsellor and Mindfulness/EFT Teacher
Anxiety Counselling Malvern
We do not have to live limited and fearful of anxiety. We can manage, reduce and even feel confident and calm again.
Whether it’s fear of others or not sleeping, a strong sense of dread always with you or just people pleasing out of hand, anxiety symptoms can leave you feeling exhausted, irritable, and disconnected from the life you want to live.
I specialise in working with women who are dealing with anxiety, stress, panic attacks and intrusive thoughts — especially those who feel like they “should be coping by now” but aren’t and those who have tried therapy before but been disappointed that 'just talking never fixed my anxiety'. The good news is with a combination of talking AND body based, research backed techniques like breathwork, EFT and mindfulness based strategies, your anxiety can be signficiantly reduce and even eradicated. Results obviously vary for each client but I have seen countless clients overcome fears, phobias and anxiety and get back to feeling in control and calm again.
Whether your anxiety is recent, lifelong, or flaring up during menopause or life transitions, you're not alone — I have been there - but most importantly I want to say you're not beyond help.
I don’t just listen — I help.
Too many women come to me after trying other kinds of therapy where they felt heard but not helped. That’s not how I work. Yes, I’ll offer a warm, compassionate space. But I’ll also guide you through proven strategies to manage anxiety and fears — emotionally, physically and mentally.
Together, we’ll gently explore what’s driving your anxiety and use a flexible mix of tools that may include:
-
Mindfulness and breathwork to soothe your nervous system
-
CBT and coaching to shift unhelpful thoughts and beliefs
-
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) to release fear and panic from the body
-
Psychodynamic and emotion-focused therapy to understand where it all began
Each session is tailored to you. Some days we talk, others we breathe, work through prompt activities to get to the heart of the matter, or practise techniques to help you feel more calm and in control. Each session is based on what you need on the day - no formulaic, impersonal approach but human to human we adapt and as I'm qualified and trained in various approaches, I am confident to share practical tools too.
My therapy space is relaxed and private — a cosy, non-clinical garden annex in Malvern that clients often describe as peaceful from the moment they step in (supported by two little elderly dogs if clients would like who will often sleep through your session close by).
Whether you’ve had therapy before or this is your first time, I will meet you with compassion, clarity and zero judgement. I keep my caseload small so I can show up fully for each client. You’ll never be just a number because when we work with anxiety you need to know 'you have got this' and 'I have got you'... We connect as humans and we journey together until you feel safe again in your body.
In summary what I offer is practical, grounded therapy for real-life anxiety — from someone who genuinely gets it and made it through myself. I'm passionate about helping others do the same.

Specialisations and Expertises
Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, stuck in their heads, or emotionally exhausted. Some are navigating menopause, loss, burnout, or major changes in identity and relationships.I use a variety of approaches to help them feel in control again. My approach are evidence-based strategies (e.g. CBT, mindfulness, coaching) with in depth work (emotion-focused and psychodynamic) to help clients find lasting change — not just relief from the symptoms which is the first step we aim to tackle.
Many clients begin to feel clearer, calmer and more resilient within 6–9 sessions, although longer-term work is available for deeper support. Therapy is always paced to suit you.

I had total trust with her and she went out of her way to tailor sessions. It was a calm and safe place in which to be honest and truthful with the hurt I was feeling - not only with my grief but other judgemental and anxiety issues.
Thankfully I feel like a new person!
